It would be fair to say that after 10 days, they are still fairly new to meditation. It would take at least a month or so before drawing any conclusions and feeling the benefits of meditation deep inside.

It is somewhat like going to the gym and expecting to change your body shape in a week or so. It will never happen, as these things take time. Everything takes time, meditation as well.

It would be helpful to let go of any expectations and look to generate curiosity in the process rather than expectation in the result of the practice.
